Who we are

CockatooJobs runs cockatoojobs.com from New Norfolk, Tasmania. CockatooJobs advertises simple part-time roles that people anywhere in Australia can do from home and introduces applicants to the employers offering them. CockatooJobs is not the employer. Contact CockatooJobs at careers@cockatoojobs.com. CockatooJobs handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information you give CockatooJobs

CockatooJobs receives two kinds. First, what you enter in the CockatooJobs application: your name, mobile number, email address, the role you chose and anything extra you add, with required fields clearly marked. Second, the WhatsApp message you send the CockatooJobs HR team, which shows your WhatsApp display name, your number and whatever you wrote. If you email CockatooJobs, we also receive your email address and message.

Does CockatooJobs collect anything automatically?

Like every website, cockatoojobs.com receives basic technical data such as IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, the page you came from and timestamps. These records are kept by CockatooJobs's hosting provider for security and reliability, and CockatooJobs does not match them to any application.

What if I leave a CockatooJobs form field empty?

Required fields are needed so CockatooJobs can reach you and forward your application. Leaving an optional field blank has no effect on how CockatooJobs treats your application.

Information CockatooJobs does not want

Please never send CockatooJobs passwords, one-time codes from text messages, bank or card numbers, your tax file number or photos of ID. CockatooJobs never needs or asks for these, and deletes any that arrive.

Why does CockatooJobs use my information?

CockatooJobs uses it to reply to you, send role details, pass your application to the employer for the role you picked, answer your email or WhatsApp questions, keep records, deal with complaints or misuse and meet legal duties.

Will CockatooJobs sell my details or send marketing?

CockatooJobs does not sell, rent or trade personal information and does not use applications for marketing. Should another role seem a better fit, CockatooJobs will ask your permission before your details go anywhere for it.

Who receives your details

The CockatooJobs HR team, and the employer offering the role you chose. Before CockatooJobs introduces you, we tell you which employer it is and which details they will receive.

Which outside services does CockatooJobs use?

cockatoojobs.com is hosted and protected by Cloudflare, which also forwards emails addressed to CockatooJobs. The typefaces on the CockatooJobs site come from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google. Messages with CockatooJobs HR travel through WhatsApp, a Meta service. Each of these providers applies its own policy, separate from CockatooJobs's. CockatooJobs will list any new provider here, for example a form builder or ad tag, before switching it on.

Disclosures required by law

Only when the law requires CockatooJobs to, or when the law allows it and it is reasonably needed to look into misuse or protect someone's rights.

Applications and WhatsApp

Applying to CockatooJobs has two steps: the form, then a WhatsApp message to HR. Our button only opens WhatsApp with suggested text to the CockatooJobs HR number shown in the chat header. The message reaches CockatooJobs HR only when you tap Send. No WhatsApp? Write to careers@cockatoojobs.com and CockatooJobs will arrange another option.

Cookies

Not for ads or analytics on the CockatooJobs site. The CockatooJobs hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter out bots. You can block or clear cookies in your browser and cockatoojobs.com will still work.

Advertising and measurement

At the date shown, cockatoojobs.com runs no ad tags, remarketing lists or analytics. Before CockatooJobs adds any, this section will be updated to name the provider, describe what it receives and explain your options. CockatooJobs never puts names, phone numbers or email addresses into tracking data or URLs.

Does CockatooJobs send my information outside Australia?

It can, through CockatooJobs's providers. The services CockatooJobs relies on, namely Cloudflare, Google and WhatsApp, run in several countries, the United States among them. CockatooJobs follows the Australian Privacy Principles for overseas disclosures; email careers@cockatoojobs.com for details.

How long does CockatooJobs keep it?

CockatooJobs keeps application records for no more than twelve months after the last genuine contact about a role, then deletes them. Ask and CockatooJobs will delete earlier; records are kept longer only if required by law or an open dispute. CockatooJobs's hosting logs are normally cleared within 30 days.

Security

cockatoojobs.com uses HTTPS, and only the people handling applications can open them. No system is perfect, so if a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, CockatooJobs will notify you under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Copies held by others

Employers you were introduced to, and WhatsApp itself, may hold their own records outside CockatooJobs's control. CockatooJobs can point you to the right place to ask them.

Can I see, change or delete what CockatooJobs holds?

You may ask CockatooJobs at careers@cockatoojobs.com for a copy of your information, a correction, deletion or withdrawal of your application. CockatooJobs may need to confirm who you are, will try to respond within 30 days and will give reasons if a request is refused. If CockatooJobs has already introduced you to an employer, that introduction cannot be reversed.

What if my details change after I apply to CockatooJobs?

Send CockatooJobs the new details and we will correct your record.

Automated decisions

CockatooJobs does not use automated decision-making. At CockatooJobs a person reviews each application, and the final say on hiring belongs to the employer.

Can children apply to CockatooJobs?

cockatoojobs.com is for adults looking for work. If CockatooJobs finds a child's information, it is deleted.

Complaints

Write to careers@cockatoojobs.com explaining your concern. CockatooJobs will look into it and respond in writing, and if you remain dissatisfied, a person at CockatooJobs with no earlier involvement will review the matter afresh.

Why does CockatooJobs ask which role I want?

Knowing the role lets CockatooJobs send you the right training link and pass your application to the correct employer. If you are unsure, you can say so in your WhatsApp message and CockatooJobs HR will explain the options before anything is shared. You can change your choice at any time before an introduction is made, simply by messaging HR or emailing careers@cockatoojobs.com.

WhatsApp conversations

The chat with CockatooJobs HR is stored so the team has context when you follow up. Only staff dealing with applications can read it, and CockatooJobs will delete its copy on request. Your phone keeps its own copy of the chat with CockatooJobs, and WhatsApp handles its records under its own policy. CockatooJobs does not pass WhatsApp conversations to advertisers or data brokers.

Can I change my mind after applying to CockatooJobs?

Yes, CockatooJobs does. You can stop your application with CockatooJobs whenever you like by messaging HR or emailing careers@cockatoojobs.com. CockatooJobs will stop contacting you about roles, will not introduce you to any further employers and will delete your details in line with the retention section, unless the law requires CockatooJobs to keep a record for longer.

Accuracy

CockatooJobs relies on the details you give, so please check them before you submit. If HR notices something that looks wrong, such as a mistyped number, CockatooJobs will ask you to confirm it on WhatsApp rather than guess. You can correct your details at any time by messaging HR or writing to careers@cockatoojobs.com.

Changes to this policy

CockatooJobs may revise this policy and will show the new date above. Where required by law, CockatooJobs will notify you before a change affects information it already has.
